Live friends list
Status and location changes the moment they happen, grouped by instance, with favourites on top. Join, invite or request an invite from any page.
Free & open source · Latest release
Nexus is a fast, modern VRChat companion for Windows. See your friends live, keep a searchable history of everything that happens, run your groups and manage the people you meet, all from one small app.
Windows 10 & 11 · about 6 MB · GPL-3.0
Features
Nexus runs next to VRChat. It listens to VRChat's live connection for friend updates and reads VRChat's own log files, so it knows which worlds you visit and who you meet.
Status and location changes the moment they happen, grouped by instance, with favourites on top. Join, invite or request an invite from any page.
Time together, encounters and "friends since" at a glance. See mutuals, the groups they own and the avatars you've seen them in, and keep private memos. Mute, hide, block or unfriend in one click.
A searchable history of every change, and a log of every world visit with who was there and for how long. Works even when VRChat's API doesn't.
Post announcements, open and close group instances, answer join requests, manage roles, kick and ban. Edit your group's name, rules, icon and banner.
Browse worlds and their instances, see which friends are inside, start new instances. Switch avatars, manage favourites and search public avatars through avtrDB.
Invites, friend requests and boops in one place, with Accept, Join and Boop back. Windows notifications for exactly the things you care about.
Show the world you're in, how full it is and how long you've been there. Private instances stay hidden. Off until you turn it on.
Hours played per day, a when-you-play heatmap, your top worlds and the friends you spend the most time with.
Ctrl + K command palette, dark, OLED and light themes, multiple accounts, CSV export, a tray icon, and one-click repair for broken vrchat:// links.

Screenshots use Nexus's built-in demo data; the names and pictures are made up.
Privacy
Nexus has no servers of its own. Everything it records (your feed, game log, memos and stats) is stored encrypted on your computer. It talks to VRChat, and to nothing else unless you turn it on.
Nexus paces every request so your account doesn't get rate limited. What you click always goes first, then what you're looking at, and background work only uses what's left.
If VRChat asks it to slow down, Nexus waits as long as asked and shows you how long, instead of an error. Identical requests share one call.
Moving from VRCX
Open Settings → Data → Import from VRCX and click Import. Nexus finds your VRCX database on its own and brings over your friend feed, game log, "friends since" dates and memos.
Only history from before Nexus started recording is imported, so nothing is doubled. VRCX can stay open; its files are only read.
Install
Nexus_x.y.z_x64-setup.exe, from the latest release."Windows protected your PC"? The installer isn't code-signed with a paid certificate yet, so SmartScreen may warn you the first time. Click More info → Run anyway. Updates are still cryptographically signed and verified by Nexus itself.
Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with WebView2, which ships with Windows 11 and installs automatically on Windows 10.
